  Great service and tasty food. I would have to say the portion sizes were too small for the price we paid for the banquet menu number 2. I liked the bar set up with the beer on tap and the variety.

  Our first night up in Macedon for our wedding weekend and we had a big house of family and friends and needed some take away for dinner
  We went off the reviews and thought let’s give it a try.
  And thank god we did
  I was beyond delicious, light and tasty!
  It’s hard to get good quality take away food and this was restaurant quality.

  New menu is sensational, service exceptional.
  The food is always so fresh and amazing. Whether it be for a small bite or something substantial I highly recommend The Flying Pigeon.
  A great selection of beer and wine along with great cocktails.

  Well priced Asian Fusion food and delicious cocktails. Recently engaged in their dumpling making workshop with Steph the owner/chef and would highly recommend. Very lucky to have such a fantastic restaurant in Gisborne!

  This place is, in a word, adequate. Staff was friendly and attentive. We tried different dishes on the limited menu and we agreed it was ok. Prices were a little on the dear side as the food was pretty much your standard chinese with a twist, which in my opinion, didn't warrant the price.

  Our favorite restaurant for the entire Macedon Ranges. We try and come every week. Everything they make is simply mouth watering.

  Although I don't live in Gisborne I keep returning to the Flying Pigeon because the food and service on every occasion have been of such a high standard.
